All my love to Wolfe!

Lunchbox
14 valentines
hat
gloves
....what Wolfe left on the counter in the kitchen to be found by me after I had just taken him to school with 16 cupcakes for his class. Didn't he hearme say, "Put your lunch in your backpack!"(A lunch consisting of a ham sandwich cut into cute heart shapes and a valentine from me), "don't forget your valentines. They are right there in the brown bag.", and "Pick up your hat and gloves. I know they shouldn't be on the floor in the den, but since you never put away your backpack after school yesterday, Brooke ransacked your bag, again!" Back to MCCS again.
....Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Brooke is all decked out for Valentine wishes for everyone! The profile shot of her just turned out too cute not to post. She was gazing at all of the icicles in the yard.
I love Valentine's Day and can't wait to love on my family tomorrow! I am making a special dinner for Jeremy and I and we are going to eat in the dining room on fine china and everthing. I am trying my hand at sushi for the first time. It is J and I's favorite food and I thought I'd give it a whirl. I am also making shrimp pad thai - another favorite! Dessert will be coconut cream bread pudding-another new recipe. Wish me luck!
(this song just makes me laugh...I bought this album in 5th grade and LOVED it! Should I play it during our meal?)

I'm feeling industrious!

Before we moved here I used to sew alot. I made curtains, clothes for the kids, reupholstered furniture, smocked pretty little dresses, and was generally much more crafty/domestic than I am now. Well, I am feeling the winds of change against my cheeks. Project #1 was to take some king-sized pillow cases and make them standard-sized. Easy, breezey. This left me with the ends that I cut off of the cases. Leading into project #2. It was a really cute red/white flannel and I fiddled around with it until I made this...

Brooke wasn't really into having her picture taken, but you can at least see what the outfit looks like. I am quite pleased with myself!
